Work great for inexpensive closet doors : Chicology Sliding Panel, Kansas Nature
Just got these today and installed very quickly. Easily adjusts to height and width needed. I searched long and hard for an alternative to wooden closet doors because the closet in the room is ceiling height and has shelves down the middle so that standard two slider doors would not work. It would have cost at least $300 to put doors on that leave the middle available and reach ceiling height. These panels cover the opening very well and look better than I expected them to. They open in a few different directions: one or two panels at a time; two panels on each side leaving only the middle open; all panels to one side (they all slide behind each other, giving a larger opening than any closet doors I've seen). The only reason I give 4 and not 5 stars is because there was a slight mistake in the rail setup - one of the plastic sliding pieces is backwards. Two of the panels hit each other and do not slide easily with the backwards piece. Not a big deal, I'll have to take it down and take the end off the rail to turn the little piece around I guess. Also, the fabric is not thick enough to not give a little when sliding them around. Adding wands to help pull them open is probably not a bad idea, although I think I'll leave it as is, they slide easily enough. Besides that they seem to slide quite well and I am happy with the purchase. Definetly the most affordable closet doors I could find. I may buy more and use them for my sliding glass door and another closet, I think I like them better than curtains or blinds on the door and are less expensive than closet doors in general.
